Community, Industry & Civic Leadership
Armadas Exterior is a family-owned exterior contractor, but our involvement in the communities we serve extends well beyond the projects we build. We invest time in roofing-industry leadership, local business organizations, mentoring, charitable events and regional programs because strong communities and strong trades are built by people who participate in them.
We also believe leadership should be visible and verifiable. Many of the organizations below independently list Armadas Exterior or Lloyd Anderson in active roles, recognize the company through awards and certifications, or document the work being done outside the jobsite.

Industry Leadership & Contractor Education
Associated Roofing Contractors
Lloyd serves as Vice President of the Associated Roofing Contractors of Oregon & Southwest Washington. ARC brings contractors, suppliers, manufacturers and industry professionals together around education, safety, professional standards and regional issues that affect the roofing trade.
The role is not ceremonial. ARC leadership helps plan educational meetings, industry speakers, member programming and association initiatives intended to raise the standard of roofing throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington.
Western States Roofing Contractors Association
Lloyd also serves as an Oregon director on the WSRCA Board of Directors. WSRCA represents roofing professionals across the western United States and supports technical education, safety, communication and the Western Roofing Expo.
WSRCA’s current committee roster also lists Lloyd across multiple technical committees, including Industry Issues, Low Slope, Steep Slope, Waterproofing, Member Services and Safety & Health.
That industry involvement has also led to independent coverage. RoofersCoffeeShop featured Lloyd on Stories from the Roof and later published Lessons from a Career in Roofing, covering his path through the trade and his view that industry associations should help elevate both contractors and the profession around them.
Manufacturer & Technical Credentials
Community trust matters, but so does technical accountability. Armadas maintains manufacturer relationships and credentials that provide third-party confirmation of training, product knowledge and eligibility for enhanced warranty programs where applicable.
Local Business & Civic Leadership

Lloyd serves on the West Columbia Gorge Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, representing Armadas Exterior alongside other local business and community leaders.
Armadas is also involved with the Gresham Area Chamber of Commerce, the Happy Valley Business Alliance and the Cottage Grove Chamber of Commerce. Lloyd completed the 2024–2025 Gresham Area Leadership Academy, a program focused on regional government, infrastructure, education, business and civic leadership.
A Hoodview News community profile documented both the Leadership Academy graduation and Lloyd’s growing involvement in regional business and roofing organizations.

Giving Back Where We Work
Supporting Veterans Through ARC
For the last three years, Armadas has contributed to ARC’s annual Christmas Dinner and Auction supporting Fort Kennedy and the veterans it serves. Across the fundraiser’s first three years, ARC members and partners raised more than $90,000 for Fort Kennedy.
Soroptimist & the Teddy Bear Parade
As an active member of Soroptimist International of Gresham, Lloyd helps with the annual Teddy Bear Parade and supports the organization’s broader mission of improving opportunities for women and girls through education and economic empowerment.
Christmas Breakfast for Local Families
Armadas sponsors a table at the Gresham Area Chamber’s annual Christmas Breakfast at Mountainview Christian Church. The event supports My Father’s House and SnowCap Community Charities, two organizations serving families and neighbors throughout East Multnomah County.
Showing Up With Time, Equipment & Experience

Community Service
Armadas has donated crew time and specialized equipment to community holiday displays and local landmarks, including work supporting seasonal lighting in Gresham and at the Gresham History Museum. These are small projects compared with a roof or siding replacement, but they are exactly the kind of work that makes a local business part of the place it serves.

Mentoring the Next Generation
Lloyd has participated in regional youth and small-business programs as a speaker, mentor and judge, sharing practical lessons from construction, entrepreneurship and leadership. That includes work with local business-development and innovation programs designed to help students and emerging entrepreneurs understand what it takes to build something sustainable.
Recognition & Independent Coverage

Armadas Exterior and Lloyd have received recognition from organizations that evaluate business leadership, community participation and ethics—not just construction work.
The Gresham Area Chamber of Commerce has recognized Lloyd through its Business Excellence Awards, including the Rising Star Award in 2024 and later the Try Local Award in 2025 for support of the regional business community.
In 2026, The Gresham Outlook Readers’ Choice Awards named Armadas Exterior a Readers’ Choice winner, sharing the top result with AA Rite-Way.
Armadas also maintains an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and was named a BBB Torch Awards for Ethics finalist in 2022 and 2024.
Independent organizations have also told parts of the Armadas story. RoofersCoffeeShop has published multiple features on Lloyd’s roofing career and industry involvement, while Hoodview News profiled his business journey, community involvement and leadership work.
Why This Matters
Serving on a board, volunteering at a parade or earning a manufacturer credential does not replace doing good work on a customer’s home. What it does show is accountability. Armadas Exterior is connected to the roofing industry, the local business community and the places where our customers live. We intend to be here, participating and learning, long after the final invoice on any one project is paid.
If you are looking for an exterior contractor that is invested in both its craft and its community, contact Armadas Exterior to talk about your project.
